Unscripted Art

My art is oftentimes impulsive rather than thought, so I use acrylic on canvas. Time and again, days can feel fraught and slow, but acrylic allows me to cheat time when I want to. My work is as imperfect as the life around us. I create textures when the desire strikes, using paper, flowers, and much more.

My relationship with painting isn't mutually exclusive. Some days all I want to do is just that—paint—though it drains me. When I don't paint, I lie awake at night, my brain swarming with vivid stories that I try my best to share with the world as I fill my empty pages.
